A JOURNEY OF PASSION AND DISCOVERY
Cenzi Sculptural ArtGallery, officially founded in 2022, emerged from three years of dedicated experience in the international sculptural art market. The gallery's foundation is rooted in a lifelong passion for antiques, which, despite having no family ties to the field, felt like a natural calling for the founder.
The specific focus on sculpture within the realm of antiques was a serendipitous discovery. It began about three years prior to the gallery's official launch when the founder acquired a dusty bust of a young lady at a flea market for just a few euros, initially for simple home furnishing. This chance purchase led to the revelation that it was carved from a single block of white statuary Carrara marble over two centuries ago. This profound experience ignited a deep dive into studying materials, sculptors, and artworks, transforming a simple hobby into a full-fledged enterprise.
CENZI ArtGallery is exclusively dedicated to Italian old sculpture made of marble or alabaster, dating from 1700 to the early 1950s. The driving force behind the gallery is the excitement of unearthing ancient, handmade artifacts and making these remarkable works accessible to a wider audience.
